On November 14, 2025, Jiang Zengwei, President of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS) led his delegation to visit China General Technology (Group) Holding Co Ltd (Genertec) and talked with Genertec Chairman Yu Xubo. Both sides had an in-depth exchange and discussion on topics such as strengthening cooperation and advancing the high-quality development of trade in services.
President Jiang Zengwei elaborated on the background of establishment, development course and main activities of GATIS. He stated that since its founding in 2022, GATIS has been committed to boosting exchanges and cooperation in the global trade in services sector, and fostering the development of an open, inclusive, balanced and universally beneficiary global trade in services system. Through diversified forms of activities including international conferences, thematic seminars and policy dialogues, GATIS has actively been engaged in building platforms for communication among governments, enterprises and institutions. President Jiang noted that Genertec is a backbone force in China's advanced manufacturing and technical services sector, and plays a significant role in trade in services and industrial upgrading. He expressed the hope that both sides would step up cooperation to jointly drive the innovative development of trade in services, and facilitate the building of a new development paradigm.
Genertec Chairman Yu Xubo extended a warm welcome to the visit of President Jiang Zengwei and his delegation, and shared the Genertec's development history, core businesses and distinctive corporate strengths. He said that the group has always adhered to a technology-driven model, focused on three core businesses—advanced manufacturing and technical services, medical and healthcare, trade and engineering services, and achieved remarkable results in serving national strategies and propelling industrial upgrading. Chairman Yu emphasized that the group attaches great importance to the cooperation with GATIS, and is willing to deepen exchanges and collaboration in organizing conferences, hosting thematic symposiums, and advancing international cooperation, so as to jointly explore new paths and models for the high-quality development of trade in services.
Both sides reached a consensus that against the backdrop of profound shifts in the global economic landscape, enhancing trade-in-service cooperation is of vital significance. GATIS and Genertec will join hands to promote practical cooperation, thereby contributing more to boosting the development of China's trade in services and facilitating global economic and trade cooperation.
