On November 27, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the Sixth Council of the Shantou Import & Export Chamber of Commerce and the "Leveraging Overseas Chinese to Promote Shantou Goods Globally" Forum for High-Quality Foreign Trade Development were successfully held in Shantou, Guangdong Province. Jiang Zengwei, Chairman of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services, attended the forum and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Jiang Zengwei stated that the Global Alliance for Trade in Services is willing to work with the Shantou Import & Export Chamber of Commerce to empower the high-quality development of Shantou's foreign trade in three ways: First, sharing the global network to support market expansion. By leveraging the Alliance's extensive cooperative network, Shantou goods can be accurately connected with key economies, including RCEP member countries and Belt and Road partners, enabling goods trade to advance steadily with the support of services trade. Second, introducing high-end resources to promote transformation and upgrading. Focusing on digitalization and greening trends, international advanced service resources will be introduced to cultivate new business models such as digital trade and technology trade, facilitating the leap of Shantou goods from "selling products" to "offering standards, services, and brands". Third, mobilizing the overseas Chinese network to build a supportive ecosystem. By deeply integrating the professional advantages of services trade with the extensive networks of the Chaoshan people, more convenient and efficient full-chain support will be provided to help Shantou enterprises "go global".

The Global Alliance for Trade in Services and the Shantou Import & Export Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of cooperation. Taking this as an opportunity, both parties will leverage their respective platforms and resource advantages to jointly explore new opportunities for foreign trade development and create a new framework of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
