On the morning of September 25, 2025, Mr. Jiang Zengwei, President of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS), was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Fourth Global Digital Trade Expo (the "Expo"), which was held in Hangzhou.
Wang Dongming, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Hao, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. The event was presided over by Liu Jie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Zhejiang Province.
Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce of China, Luo Laijun, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Wang Xiao, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, representatives of ministerial-level guests from relevant countries and regions, diplomatic envoys to China, and representatives of international organizations attended the opening ceremony or delivered speeches, including video speeches from leaders of UNCTAD, WTO and UNIDO.
Themed with "Witness the Innovative Future at the Global Digital Trade Expo", this year's Expo has continued to increase its professional leadership, openness to cooperation and international influence. It attracted 154 countries and regions and 33 international organizations to participate in the exhibition, with more than 1,800 exhibitors, including 381 international ones, accounting for 21% of the total. As an important window for comprehensively displaying new technologies, products and ecosystems in global digital trade, this year's Expo has a total exhibition area of 155,000 square meters, with one theme pavilion, and seven characteristic exhibition areas, such as digital culture and entertainment, artificial intelligence, and Silk Road e-commerce. In particular, the artificial intelligence exhibition area highlights more than 100 application scenarios in medical care, education, culture and entertainment, transportation and other fields.
The guest countries, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia, the guest province of Shaanxi, and the International Trade Centre each established dedicated exhibition booths at key locations within the exhibition hall.
This year's Expo organized eight themed activities focused on international cooperation, featuring high-profile initiatives such as "Silk Road E-commerce Day", "African Digital Trade Day", and the "Dialogue on BRICS Special Economic Zones".
In the afternoon, President Jiang Zengwei delivered an address at the exhibition industry forum, a supporting event of the Expo. This year, the GATIS, as an international cooperation organization, supported and participated in the forum.
