On September 10, 2025, the Promotion Conference on Expanding Opening-up of the Services Sector of Anhui Province was held at Shougang Park in Beijing. The event was hosted by the People’s Government of Anhui Province.

Zhao Weidong, Secretary-General of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS), attended the conference and stated: “The digital and green transformation of global services trade is accelerating, and new technologies, new business models and new formats are constantly emerging. Open cooperation in the services sector has become a key driver for enhancing international economic and trade ties.”

He noted that GATIS attaches great importance to its partnership with Anhui and is ready to cooperate in five areas:

-Deepening collaborative innovation in services trade systems;

-Leveraging the channels of GATIS professional committees to promote industry linkages;

-Building a global information-sharing and cooperation mechanism;

-Creating a comprehensive enterprise service platform; and

-Expanding diversified international cooperation opportunities.

GATIS looks forward to establishing a closer partnership with Anhui, jointly exploring new paths and models for expanding the opening-up of the services sector, and contributing to Anhui’s high-level opening-up and innovative development of trade in services.
