On December 4, 2025, the annual meeting of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS) was held in Beijing. Zhao Weidong, Secretary-General of GATIS, chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, Jiang Zengwei, President of GATIS, stated in his address that, against the backdrop of profound shifts in the global economic landscape, trade in services has maintained rapid growth and has become a crucial force driving global economic expansion. President Jiang Zengwei emphasized that the GATIS will continue to uphold the principle of neutrality, openness, inclusiveness, and innovation, focuses on its three core functions of promoting exchange and cooperation, facilitating think tank research and conducting policy dialogue, prioritize the interests of its members, and remain committed to serving them and fostering industry development, in a bid to further contribute to global economic stability and prosperity.

During the meeting, the GATIS also held an awarding ceremony for its newly admitted member organizations. Representatives from the newly elected council member Bank of China and the new member organization International Business Machines (China) Company Limited delivered speeches, respectively.
The annual meeting brought together both new and longstanding friends under one roof, where they reconnected, discussed new developments, and shared their positive visions for the coming year. The GATIS annual meeting was attended by nearly 300 participants, including representatives from China's Ministry of Commerce and relevant departments of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, representatives of embassies in China from countries such as Australia, Austria, Albania, Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Honduras, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Senegal, Türkiye, and Zimbabwe, as well as delegates from relevant United Nations organizations, business associations, think tank experts, media, and member organizations.
